problems watching videos

whenever i download videos from the internet and play them in windows media player they always play for like 5 seconds then the image will freeze but the sound keeps going on, then the image will start skipping frames. and if i replay it over and over it will freeze at different times and skip to different frames. whats up?

I dunno but it sounds like a memory process is laggin it up.

Display drivers possibly, codecs possibly, internet video plugins possibly, internet connection possibly, CPU usage possibly.

i had problems like that, i thinki reinstalled my codecs (mostly DivX) and it helped

Downaload NimoCodecPack 5.0 build 8 Final and install it.After this u should install latest version of DivX and Xvid codecs too.i bet than your problem will finish.
