not sure, if everyone gets is just to play a month or so and then go on to other games, i think i wont get it, but maybe i will, havent voted yet

Maybe. If a fair amount of people in the clan get it, I probably will also. The no monthly fee is a great idea for a mmorpg. But I don't mind paying the $9-15 monthly fee in games if I enjoy playing them.

well, the beta is open now on www.guildwars.com , but im pretty sure they announced it has a monthly cost.... i could be mistaken.

dont think ive heard of a monthly fee. but the betas are for people who preorder the game. once a month they have a beta weekend when people who preordered it can play.

ahhhh! and im actually like 99% positive that it is pay to play. a friend saw a review on it, and was reading it to me.

http://www.guildwars.com/faq/default.htmlThere will be no monthly fee. To compensate they will most likely put out an expansion pack of sorts every six months or so which you will have to buy. With money. Still though, average monthly game fee (on the conservative side) is $12. Multiply that by six months of subscription fees and you get $72, whereas your average expansion pack is no more than $30. So you still save money.

yea I have a couple of pc magazines where they have a full page ad saying that it will NOT have a monthly fee.
