Here we can talk about which one is best, from my view, im with step 7 is best, although i never beat 8 completly yet..

Same here....seven was the foundation pretty much for the series

9 has the best characters and i like its gameplay, 7 MINIGAMES, but over all id go with 9

when i was a kid i played video games, but i wasnt a gamer. after FF7, I became a gamer. It was the first game to really jump out there as more than just a video game, but a story with characters you feel for, etc etcsounds a tad nerdy i know (waits for desu to come in and call me a closter homosexual) but FF7 really did it for me. RedXIII owns j00 all

yeh, the old ones are the whatever, i never played them at the time, but think that not all of the titles were released over here right, it wasn't until after FF7 paved the way for the other ones to be released on PSone with minor updates. i'm not saying 1-4 or whatever arent good, just the 7 was the one that got me hooked

Final Fantasy VI (3 on the SuperNintendo) is the best FF by far. best characters, best villian (yes, Kefka is better thn Sephiroth), and best story.
