1.2 Rule Changes
Effective immediately, CoD version 1.2 should be used for all OGL Matches. However I do understand that some teams are awaiting their servers to be updated still. If teams do not have a server with version 1.2 to use at match time, the match maybe postponed or you may e-mail your ladder admin to have the match canceled if nothing can be worked out. After this week everyone should be at version 1.2 and no longer need matches canceled.Since the new version has brought on some changes, please make sure you are aware of the rule changes listed here. Please refer to the actual rules pages as this is just a summary of the changes to save you some reading time.Also note that the HeadQuaters ladders is ready for teams to join. The rules are also being posted for that. We will start with this being a larger ladder with team sizes of 8vs8. If this doesn’t work out, they can be lowered, or also if there is enough interest in an even larger ladder, then that may be looked at also.The changes to the general rules that should be noted:• Added new commands to disable kill cam and spectating the other team and free look cameras during match play.• Added a note regarding the ban list. • Removed all rules pertaining to the mod being used to accomplish the above previously.• Match Comments: Nothing has changed here, but please take not that this is no longer only a CoD requirement, but now a requirement of OGL General rules also. Match Comments is absolutely mandatory to be used.• Commands for demo recording have been changed. With version 1.2 all demos recorded overwrite the previous file recorded. Therefore a filename MUST be specified otherwise you will overwrite the previous demo recorded for that match. • Demo Recording: Teams are NOT required to exchange demos per the request of the opposing team. If teams wish to exchange demos, then they are more than welcome to do so.• Because of the above, there is a new addition to the rules for submitting a dispute based on the feeling that your opponent was cheating. Please read over this addition to the rules carefully.S&D and Retrieval Ladders:• Due to the vote that was run, and the response, the format for the ladder will change from first to 5 rounds, to first to 7 rounds.• Changed Server configuration to reflect the above.Since I know none of you will read that, I bolded the important shit
I was wondering when they were going to get around to changing it to first to 7 rounds. That vote has been dominated by those in favor of the change for a while now.And thanks for not posting the new cheating accusation procedures, now I have to drag my lazy arse over to the OGL site and browse around.
