Guitar...
Hey, i've been lookin' around and have noticed all these cool guitar arrangements of songs. Prefferably, the Chrono Cross Original Soundtrack Guitar Arragement. So i've been thinking, maybe I want to start playing the guitar. Now, I know next to nothing about guitars, electric guitars, or any of that kind of stuff. Is it hard to play? Do I need lessons? If it helps, I have been playing the Violin for the past 6 years. Are the Violin and guitar kinda alike? Will my Violin experience help me play the guitar? Are guitars expensive? Would I get one of those electric ones or a wooden acoustic one?
First, Unless you have amazing musical talent, id suggest you get a teacher to start you off. Well, since youve played Violin it probably WOULD help you out with it, you'd probably learn faster.Yes, Guitars are expensive, prolly range from 100 to like i dunno thousands. PLUS, if your going to get an electric, i suggest you get an Amplifier, Picks, and a Tuner.Um...also, most people nowadays buy electrics, but acoustics are good for different things, they are harder to play though. Thicker strings, not as tight as electric, and also a bigger, its easier to play higher notes as well as cords on an electric.
They say ignorance is bliss, i say your just plain stupid.

i played violin for like 5 years and now ive been playing guitar for 4 years the only reason i can think violin benefitted me is im pretty decent at reading musicif u wanna get an acoustic then go for it it might be cheaper in the long run because u dont really need as many accesories as electric but it all depends on the guitar u wantthey have starting packs for electric guitars that come with amp, cables, guitar, books on getting started that range around 200 dollars which u might wanna look into if u dont wanna spend a lot of money but whatever u do go with kaks idea and get a teacher its helpa lot
I say you go acoustic as .. well they jsut rock so much more =p. This one of my favorite brands: http://www.martinguitar.com/But they are quite expensive. So just go steal one :p

i play geetar i no wot u do buy an electric they more exspensive but the're easier to play an sound way cooler an u can still play without an amp if u don't enough money. well u don't NEED lessons but to sum ppl the're better i learned of tabs on da internet all ya need to know is the strings (E) A D G B E (e) is the fattest or the bottom string. GEETARs are cool, get 1. like kak sed get a tuner
