holy shiz mordrid 85?! alksfhaslfk well my version of fraps (the full version) oonly goes up to 30 fps (from what i can see) so i dunno. The first movie I did was the Crafty/Gox/Liko one which i did at 60 fps, and my movie size was humoungous and i realized doing it at 25 fps frapping would reduce the file size. So if i did my frapping at 85 the file size wudda been like 900 mbs!! or did u compress it twice? This is getting confusing lol. All i can say is my jk2 brightness turns out to be dark for the majority of jk2 community, but in my eyes it seems normal.

K... I'll try my best explaining these technical things. The most recent version of FRAPS out there is version 2.7.2. I believe any version from 2.7 and up is capable of the 85 FPS feature. When you open FRAPS go under Movies and on the right side there's an option to select what FPS you want the clip to be recorded at. You can select one (25, 30, 50, 60) or you can select a blank one to type your own in. Again, I reccomend using 85 FPS, because it runs perfectly. At 90, mine began to become choppy so I gave up on that. Maybe it's just my computer, but 85 seems to work the best.Next, make sure that when you record, you have the "Full-size" icon selected, instead of "Half-size."In game (and these are just my game options) under setup if you go to video, there's a list and one of the options is your screen size. I have the lowest one when I play JK2 (600 by 400 I think)Make sure that all your clips are saved in .avi format. When you extract them into Vegas, the file size should decrease dramatically, so that the size of your movie won't be too much. I'm not exactly sure how this process works. All my clips are saved compressed and when I extract them into Vegas they become uncompressed which reduces the file size. I think that's how it works, but I've been wrong before. You don't have to use these settings if you don't want. I use these because they're easy and basic and produce terrific results. If you're still uncertain, send me a PM and we can try and sort it out.

the first movie i did was at 60 fps, and the file size of the .avi was like 40 mbs for a 5 second clip, way too large (at 25 fps it was like 15 mb)
