It's not ingenious at all. They could easily have fit everything that the gameboy is sued for into a control scheme for the standard controller. The standard controllers have screens to list all of the different types of information the GBAs would be used for then? Also, you must remember, there is still the option to have a single player game.

it comes out Feburary 10th you dumb canuck :rofl:and the game will be good just like every other Final Fantasy (although this one is more Gauntlet/Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance style than a normal FF). i do agree about the gameboy for multiplayer thing being a little expensive (ie. wallet goes ouch). but the concept is a cool idea and most of my friends have GBA's anyway so i'll be picking it up :Pnow if i could just get FFXI, CoD, and Warcraft III back :/

The screen doesn't offer anything that couldn't have been fit into the game with just the standard controller. And to get the most out of singleplayer you're required to use the Gameboy.

Well Hank, it's better than four of them, isn't it?The game was made for those either with the money, or the equipment to play. If you don't like it, I don't think Nintendo cares. They only care about those who can spend the money to play the game, those gullable people...

LoL, and we're back to my initial point, that Nintendo did this as a blatent attempt to force people to give them more money than necessary to enjoy a high prfoile game.
