I can't beat the colossus #5, the birdy, in time attack mode. It's really pissing me off!

I can't beat the colossus #5, the birdy, in time attack mode. It's really pissing me off! :PYeah, he can be a real pain in the ass. You're not having a problem getting on him, right? I had a problem with staying on him. As soon as you get on him and he is totally flat, just stab one wing with a full power stab. He'll go crazy and do a few flips, but you should have just enough grip to hang on then rest on his back. When he flaten's out again, repeat with the other wing. It's tough because sometimes the grip doesn't always last. But, if you're almost out of grip and he's about to take a sharp turn (left turn if you're on the right wing, and a right turn if you're on the left wing), just let go and hit grip again like a second later. If you time it right, you'll land on his back and have some time to rest.

When I have a full grip and stab his wing, he starts flipping, and most of the time my grip dies before I have an angle to drop onto his back. I guess I just need to try and fail a bunch more and try to fine tune the timing on that bish.

Well I just beat the bird in time attack mode, with like 2 mins to spare. Instead of doing Right wing, Left Wing, Back Tail, I finally said screw it. I did Right Wing, Back tail, Left wing, and it was EASY. After that I beat all the colossi up to #8 in time attack mode. That damned bird is annoying~!

Apologies for bumping an old thread but I have to say that this game truly is amazing...

I just beat my 8th Colossus and my jaw has been open pretty much the entire time. The only semi-negative thing I will say is that I'm finding it to be very easy and I don't think it's gonna be too long until it's over which is a shame. But the beauty and originality of the game more than make up for that.That is all.

Plus, once you beat the game, there's the Time Attack and Hard Modes. :PAnd the ending is amazing!

where i work got 2 rental copies (which blew my mind, we rarely get 2 of any game) so, if i get my paws on a cheap ps2 i'll pick it up and revive this thread yet again

i got three left to beat. This game kicks so much ass right now. I love how each colussus is different and requires different skills. Whenever im fighting one it feels like im watching a movie or something. I really enjoyed the flying colossus in the desert that looks like a bug.
