I heard people saying that Raiden's helmet is a reference to Zone of the Enders. Is this true? Now that you mention it, it does look like a reference to Zone of the Enders! When the covers are over his eyes, the helmet looks like the head of Jehuty, the main orbital frame (giant mech thingy) from the Zone of the Enders games.
That does not look like Jehuty. But just imagine them putting a demo for ZOE 3 in the MGS4 game. There's already rumors that the game will cotain both English and Japanese languages with the wider capacity, blue-ray.
i dont know about being the same as ZoE, but i'm sure, considering kojima oversaw both, there might be some carryover (fuck, ZoE 3 on ps3... more persuasion to open the wallet and get a VISA limit increase, lol)

Especially how the sides of the helment come to form a point at the front of the face.
I still prefer the rumble feature over the new tilt sensors in the controller. I've been through 2 generations with rumble and it's like a apart of the whole MGS experience.
i think the rumble deal is done, it got tired if you ask me, few games used it innovatively, with the main exception being mgs series, so i imagine he would have put it too good use (psycho mantis' mgs1 trick anyone?)
