hey, you might not have to get a new video card, cause like my video card kicks arse and i got that message...so u dont have to buy a new video cardvideo card: NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti4200

For anyone (with a PeeForce card) who is getting the DirectX failure error, try going back to the previous version of the drivers. Specifically, the Detonator 41.09. The new driver, Detonator 44.03, didn't work on my 98SE machine. I freshly installed them and DX9a plus checked the AGP setup in my BIOS... nothing worked. But when I re-installed the 41.09 drive, voila! everything worked again.

In the login screen click on options and tell me what is not supported. You might have to buy a new vid card but my friend just changed a few options and got in so tell me what isnt supported.
