Best Video Game Lead Character

i have never played one bad Mario game.....ever. loved em all. Even Dr. Mario!? It is a close call, but Mario gets my vote. Honorable Mentions: Joe Musashi from Shinobi, Fei Fong Wong from Xenogears, Raziel from Soul Reaver.I'd probably change my vote if I could remember more.
