I'm using a legal version of XP douche! But I feel dirty for doing so.Anyway Blood, the following software should sort out your problems and are all free:Lavasoft Ad-AwareCW-ShredderSpybot S&DMicrosoft Anti-SpywareIt's worth noting that I hate Microsoft but I like their Anti-Spyware software because it does actually work well. If that doesn't work, download HiJack This and post a log of your PC scan.BTW - new versions of HIJACKTHIS remove stuff FOR You.. automatically it ROCKS... i have cleaned up MANY ppl's machines with it
When Reb Zusya died and encountered God, God didn't ask him why he wasn't like Abraham during his life. God didn't ask him why he wasn't like Moses during his life. God DID ask him why he wasn't more like TIBBY during his life.
I realize that this has already been taken care of and many have already posted their suggestions on how to take care of spyware, but I wanted to post a couple of other methods for getting rid of those unwanted creatures lurking in your machine. #1 step is click start button, run, type msconfig, go to the startup tab, uncheck all, restart your machine after you click on apply/ok. Once your pc starts its boot, after it posts but before the windows xp screen comes up, start tapping F8(normally) to enter into the windows boot options menu. Once there select Safe Mode, then hit enter, then enter again. Your computer will boot into the safe mode and ask you if thats ok, click ok, windows starts up, run the microsoft spyware scanner. Once its done scanning and removing the parasites, do a virus scan if your scanner allows it, then reboot normally, and everything should be ok at that point. Once you have run a normal scan in normal windows to verify that they are in fact gone, re-run msconfig, and recheck the programs that you want to start with windows. Basically what I just described is a way to get to the spyware, without it being a running process. Even though many spyware programs claim to clean these puppies out, it doesnt always work, especially with ones that duplicate themselves or rename. As far as microsoft not detecting or doing its job, well, there isnt any scanners that have ever been made that dont miss anything. Even Norton doesnt pick up on every virus out there. If you allow a process to run such as kazaa or whatnot, or some free screensaver, your automatically allowing the software thats bundled with that to install on your pc. Its not the scanners fault that your allowing garbage to come in.
Think they recently released an English version.word, if you want me to post it on here (since i think the website is still in dutch, not sure, havent checked in a while) Ã'll do it tomorrow or so, all i know is that it's very decent, but in the end, the user him/herself is always the best anti-spyware tool there is, BE WARE OF WHAT YOU DOWNLOAD AND OPEN! I've never had real spyware or virusses on my computer and i dont have a virusscanner (just hitman pro, tho that program hardly finds anything on my pc, on others it finds a lot tho).
