Snape, when it does that, hit your windows key then click on SWG again in your task bar. Usually an error message will pop up letting you know why the game crashed. Of course, the message makes no sense to us mere mortals. There is a known crash issue right now, that they are working to fix.

What you all are experience is, SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) at its best. Sony had hyped this game up for so long (as they should have) that when it came time to move to retail live version they were not prepared. I know this because the exact same thing happened to Planet Side but on a much smaller scale. You have to realize that in beta they had a small number of people in comparisson to the estimated 150,000 people already playing it. What this means is, you will probably getting patches for the next few monts on a regular basis. If you have the heart to stick it out they will eventualy get it right. However, with a game of this scale it may take a VERY long time. I was told by an experienced beta tester from SWG (7Months) that he loved the game but wouldnt dare touch it for 4-6 months. He said he thought it was released way to early cause beta never ran well. I am thinking of purchasing this game, but i think ill wait abit tell they get ot right.NOOGE

Yea but ardy what they are fixing are not exactly people's characters getting deleted and people's comupter's crashing every other time when they play. I don't even notice these patches. They load right up when you go to play so theres no manual searching for the patches and really some people just are crying to much about the game having problems. It runs fine for me. Except I need another stick of ram.

i experience the occasional crash, but its just my video card. sometimes i lose connection too, but i did on other mmos also. the patches arent nearly as bad as i thought, except for the first ever patch because everyone was patching at once. earth and beyond had longer patch downloads and more severe changes, although those were monthly instead of daily but i dont mind.

This release has been smoother than any other MMOG, except for DAOC.
