Well, since no one has spoke of it yet, I will tell you. I have played the new update on the test centre. Allow my opinions:I really enjoyed it. It seems to have added alot of fun to the game, combat-wise. The new camera angle really works for me, and the actual shooting is great. I had a ton of fun with the blaster, just running around wasting things. Also with some melee I fought, and had a pretty good time, too. Not a fun as shooting a gun, but you can't win 'em all. The new HUD works great for me, I had no problems with it. I haven't had a change to launch a ship yet to check out the JTL aspects, but I imagine that it's relatively unchanged. Professions seemed pretty cool (Naturally, I chose Jedi) and the Jedi missions were pretty cool, too. Not sure of the other professions, haven't played 'em yet. Now, for some negatives:What the hell! Jedi as a starting profession? Ridiculous. I was on the "Noob Station" when I was playing, as were all the other testers. I'd say 90% were Jedi, and I saw alot of people. I'm a bit offended by the commonness of Jedi, considering the continuity of Star Wars, which SoE would rape so easily for some profit. I thought Jedi were too common before the update! Now it's going to be a huge clusterfuck. Also, as for the profession system, I feel a little dissapointed. The profession that I would like to choose (Trader) requires that you "specialize" in 1 of 4 different skills, while no such specialization is required for any other profession. But, it's all moot. In my opinion, SWG is going to be facing an economic crisis real soon. Reason being is that, with so many Jedi, who will build the buildings, make the clothes, assemble the droids, invent the vehicles, develop the starships, etc etc? The market is going to go through a severe change. Take note, though, that those who are traders have a good chance to make quite a bit of money. My last irritation is that they are removing item decay altogether. WHAT ABOUT MY FUCKIN' ANTI DECAY KIT! >.< It's goddamned useless now. I just hope my free resource ticket is still as valuable. ~~~~~There's an objective look at the update. Now hold me.

Wasky ADK's are being turned into "profession restart kits" which is the only way you can change your profession after you use up your respecs (what the fuck?).I'd love to give my opinion on the goddamn thing, but I still haven't been able to get into the core game since the server population cap won't let me board the Falcon STILL after about 3 hours of waiting.

After finally being able to test some things out, I've come to realize I have some very mixed feelings. The complete removal of all melee classes (save Jedi) is very disappointing, because although they were not focused on at all in the movies doesn't mean they didn't EXIST in the EU, especially Teras Kasi. I did try out Jedi though, and it is pretty neat, minus the fact that everyone was running around in a robe. And while a lot of people are happy that they will be able to start out as a Jedi, the fact that they have some serious combat flaws when compared to ranged classes is not too appealing. I have a feeling Jedi will mostly be a class for roleplaying at this point, since there will be far more effective professions when it comes to PvPing, which is really what it should have been in the first place. Would have filtered out all the assholes who wanted to be a Jedi just so they could "own noobs in d00lz" instead of truly enjoying the experience of being a Force-Sensitive.My only qualm is that now the game is mirroring a lot of aspects of WoW, EQ2, etc. with the whole "gaining XP as a reward for a quest" thing. One of the things that's made me stay with SWG for as long as I have was the fact that it wasn't a cookie-cutter RPG or just an altered version of EQ with the Star Wars name on it. That's pretty much gone now, but I'll stick with it for a while and see where it takes me.
