I have a couple of thoughts. First, I think that the Mace Windu part, Bob said he wasn't acting Jedi-like, well the galaxy was in a state of siege, and he was arresting him as he did catch him red-handed, and got confirmation that he was a Sith Lord. I don't see how this is not jedi-like for Mace to do what he did....Second, while the actual way that Vader said nooooooooooo ( o repeating. I love math) was corny, and I could just seem them practicing with Hayden Christenson for hours to make it sound right, I think the actual line wasn't too bad. It fit in with the fact that he was under a lot of stress, and he lost the one thing that he truly cared about. Padme. I thought it was very necessary as a way for him to express his emotions and thoughts on what was going on, since he has a helmet and we can't see his face or anything, and to make his character believable. :?Anyone else see an omage to Frankenstein?

Downloaded and watched this. The fights were great, Yoda kicked major arse. Was pleased with the Obi VS Vader fight too.About the "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO". I think if it was replaced with a scream rather than the word no, it'd work better.

[spoiler:024859f96b]I thought the movie was good, but the acting was pretty badI think lucas has really lost his touch with the acting part of his movies and just got too wrapped up in the special effects...which don't get me wrong...kicked ASS. I mean c'mon...4 lightsabers! I thought Grevious was pretty awsome...Crashster thinks he was what was left of Darth Maul...but I'm sure you guys will shoot that one down. The whole NOOOOOO! thing with vader made me and my fiancee laugh out loud. We wern't the only ones in the theater doing it...I mean C'MON what were you thinking Lucas? Are you drunk? Your drunk!JAR JAR SHOULD OF DIED!!! WTF?!?! And how about that new Queen of Naboo! YOWZA! I'd like to meet her body double! All and all...i give it a 7 outta 10...10 being Empire Strikes Back1 being The Phantom Menace (minus Darth Maul cause he kicked ass)[/spoiler:024859f96b]

The actors we not well known and generally everybody did the best they could do.. It's not like it is now, George Lucas is worth millions, The budgets for all three movies individually are ten times higher than the total cost for the entire original series. I think with the amount of money Lucas spent on these films they could have been much better.. But on the other hand, If you watch the entire 6 movie series now you don't notice too much of a difference in filming styles. I think Lucas may have had to downplay the acting and such in the newer movies to match them up witht he older ones.

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I'm not gonna 'spoiler' any of this cause there is no way to spoil this movie further.Firstly, don't get me wrong. I love the story and the universe. But the whole movie came off as having no more production quality than a soap opera. Just bare scenes with just characters, some dialog, and we're done. Sure he has one of the best film production studios in the world, and all thescenes looked great, but where's the fucking content? The 'B' production first episodes that you talk of were better done than this one. We just kept flitting from scene to scene, character to character. We didn't see any damn detail! What I mean by this is that there was no depth. In the cantina scenes in the first ones and other places your eyes just couldn't stop looking everywhere, soaking up the content. The acting was atrocious all around the board. It's like they solo acted everything. I agree with the statement about Samuel Jackson. Ewan McGregor had the only fairly good acting in the picture. They gave Yoda some completely ridiculous lines i.e. when he confronts Palpatine. The fights were great but they, again, seemed so lacking in detail. It seemed like we saw close up shots of all the saber battles just so they didn't have to really choreograph a fight. I just sat there the whole time seeing things that just made me shake my head and sigh. I was dissapointed. I came in thinking this is gonna be great because I heard it was better than the last two. Which it is in ways, I'll give it that. But still.. overall. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. I'd take a movie without all the 3d, in the Old Episode 4 style, over this one any day. Any day. It's not that I am trying to hate on the universe or Star Wars in general. I wanted to be good. But I just felt let down, so dissapointed. And I'm not trying to hate, just make a point:I think Lucas may have had to downplay the acting and such in the newer movies to match them up witht he older ones. But did he downplay the Special Effects and the Visual style of the movie? Howabout the audio? Movies [to me] are about people. Who gets paid more in the movies? Actors. I wanted to feel it. I wanted my hair to rise with some of the lines. You feel it in other movies. I see no reason for him to feel that he had to bring the acting down to match. He sure didn't match anything else up (production wise). The only line I felt the hair rising a bit was 'You were the chosen one! But, only slightly. Here comes the flame fest.<flame position="start">
