Lets reflect on the past. In the console industry Nintendo has always owned. They owned the shit outta Sega. When did they lose? When the Playstation came out. Sony owned them, the BEST current console maker of the time, on their first attempt. Completely owned them. If ANYONE is gonna break the handheld market away from Nintendo's grip, its gonna be Sony.

ok, i know i'm behind on this but i do have to throw my opinion out there since i do work in a game store, lolif both systems were to come out today, the winner (according to customer responses and other store feedback) would be the DS.....and not by a hair either. the feedback i and other employees have received is that more consumers as of right now trust Nintendo with the handheld market. also, the fact that Nintendo will be bringing new and updated versions of their franchise titles certaintly helps. another factor is people are excited about the new features in the DS while they're passing over the PSP due to the larger price and the battery life issue. if the battery life is addressed, more people will get into PSP but the price tag still remains too high for most (more would rather go with the DS between $150-$200 than the PSP at $300-$350).will the PSP have more games? yes. will they be better than what's on the DS? can't say for sure now since it's too early but most people are staying attacked to Nintendo right now because of their proven track record.one last thing too: more people want a DS as well b/c people believe it will be more durable. out of the three major hardware makers, only Nintendo makes a reliable system. the PS2 is nothing more than a flimsy paperweight (don't touch it the wrong way, it may fall apart on you, lol). you can cave an Xbox in just by stepping on it. yet a 400 lb. guy could do a kegstand (cubestand?) on the Gamecube and it won't even flinch. the same disaster that happened with PS2 (all those defective systems) will happen to the PSP b/c Sony will one again rush an unfinished system out the door.everyone always wonders why the PS2 sells the best out of all the systems. it's b/c people have to buy a 2nd and 3rd PS2 to replace their broken one
j/k but some people actually do believe that. ok, enough typing. go like what you want to like. as for me, i'm getting a beer and playing metroid prime. screw you hippies
