ok so im trying to get all the languages on this pc so i dont have to deal with missing characters and i discovered i could do it through control panel but it says i need to put in my SP2 cd. the problem is i dont have one because this pc was made with SP2 already on it and my backups are DVD images, not SP2 boot disks.any SUGGESTIONS?also there are many downloads on the microsoft site but i am not sure if they add the characters or set the default language to russian, japanese, chinese etc.

bob whatever you download from microsoft, they will never set your language to something else, you need to buy or fully reinstall Windows in order to get a completely new language. But like cloud said, download the asian pack or something

Control Panel -> Date, Time, Language, Regional Options -> Regional and Language Options -> Languages Tab -> Install files for East Asian languages童话 <--- if that came out that means you should have those files already
