wtf? DNS

I have no clue what the DNS is. My xbox 360 can't connect to it.I'm not sure if this has to do with it, but I destroyed a trojan yesterday through housecall, which said it could pwn my internets. It has been running slo.......hmmmmEverything is on automatic detection so shouldn't my xbox just pick it up and so i can frolic?I can't play gears.

There's DHCP which gives an IP to your xbox and theres DNS which translates IPs into webadresses such as fouclan.com (which is originally an IP address).So if it can't connect to your DNS (probably of your router or switch), it can't translate IP addresses into webaddressses.
