get rid of vista, problem solved! :DOr you could actually help him solve the problem. I've got Vista, but I haven't tried JK2. Everything works fine. What exactly is it doing wrong?

Well you can either switch to XP or stay with Vista, Vista can actually support up to 16gigs of ram on its 64 bit unit. While XP cannot even come close.So while Vista might have its problems, it is the next generation of an obsolete peice of crap that was XP. What sucks is that my motherboard couldnt fit the 8800gts that I bought, what a beast of a graphics card, so I had to return that and get the 8600gts. Great card as well thou, and when I upgrade my mobo im going for one that supports ddr3 ram and going to get two 8800gts and run those in sli with around 12-16 gigs of ram.Biding my time thou.Currently have a dual core processor 4600+Nvidia 8600gts4 gigs of ramSo im good for now. Not sure if I can run Crysis at full settings, lol I know I cant. But I can run the game and make it look good, which rocks

i DID tried jk2 on vista (laptop) and when i trouble shoot to see if my laptop is good enough to run jk2 , it gives the ok status. but when i start up single player or multiplayer it gives the open_gl message (im sure u've heard about that error) so my vid card doesnt support open_gl, not a biggy if u can find the right drivers. i couldnt find them, and if im right step gave a shot to find them. he gave me 2 tho neither of them solves the problem, i can still play jk2 on my pc altho it would be nice if it can run on my laptop so i can watch tv and own tibby.my vid card = ati radeon xpress 200m seriesso again a call for help
