Durus Amicita is hosting a StarCraft Tournament and invites anyone to participate.If you would like to participate in this then sign up on this page and i'll add you to the list, after we have a good amount of people listed i'll make the brackets and let everyone know who they are paired up against first.It will be best of 3 1v1's the maps are Python, Blue Storm, Blitz x and will be played in that order.After you find out who you are paired against for that round, we will set up a time for when both players are able to make, the replays will be saved ofcourse for proof of the match. Any version with (ob) next to it is to let people watch online, while the other two are for training purposes.www.fouclan.com/movie/Cloud/maps.rarBelow are pictures of the three maps that we're playing on.We will be following a modified version of the 2007 World Cyber Games rules.-Intentional Use of Game/Program Bugs: A warning at the minimum or Loss by Default- Any other intentional practice that is determined as unfair and/or usage of a program bug, at the sole discretion of the board of referees, can result in a warning at the minimum or loss by default for the offending player.- Allied Mines not allowed- Stacked SCV not allowed- Turret Stalling not allowed- Canceling mineral bug not allowed- Disconnections- Disconnection: Any disconnection of the connection between match players due to System, Network, PC, and/or Power problems/issues- Intentional Disconnection: Upon judgment by the referee, any offending player will be charged with a loss by forfeit- When any disconnection occurs:1) If disconnection occurs within 3 minutes of start of match: match restart2) If disconnection occurs after 3 minutes of start of match:- If both players agree to a match restart, the match will be restarted.- If the players cannot reach an agreement, the winner will be determined by a referee after the analysis of the match replay file.- If the winner can not be decided by analyzing the match replay file, the players must agree to a match restart or forfeit the match.- Penalty for Unfair Play- Unfair Play1) Use of any map hack program2) Intentional disconnection3) Use of any settings exceeding standard and permitted settings4) Any unnecessary chatting during the match.5) If referee decides that external conditions (Press, Team Leader, Player, Spectator, etc) give unfair advantage to a player, the player may be given a warning or lose by default at the refereeā€™s sole discretion.- Upon discovery of any player committing any violations regarded as unfair play, that player will be disqualified from the tournament.- During the course of any match, the operations staff and/or referee may determine other actions to be unfair play at any time.

Python, who'd of thought.I am actually getting sick of Python. Whatever happend to good 'ol temple?Anyway, I may play in this if it's anyone admitted. I'm kind of rusty but oh well. I'll think on it.

We've just been playing with maps that are in KeSPA rotation, with majority of games on Python and Blue Storm. Python's the primary staple in most places, with Blue Storm being the primary in terms of 2 player maps. Blitz X is just a favorite of theirs I suppose, but ah wells. Yes Temple's certainly vanilla in itself, but ah wells....gotta get swapped out sometime. And yes Vauce, anyone can join.

I spent all of last week watching those tournaments you posted before but still havn't gotten past Group D in the first round. And I've started getting back into the game but I'm not good enough to participate in that yet >.<

Good to see that people are actually watching GSI, as for skill level it really doesn't matter. We have a wide range in terms of experience, so you'll fit right in.

i had starcraft and was pretty good at it online but i dont play anymore, hell i dont even play jk2 just because i have no time!

I always enjoyed age of empires more, never quite got starcraft down enough to enjoy it like dai enjoys buttsecks

When do you need this known by, the person that lives across the hall from me at school could possibly be interested and I go back Sunday night. And I don't want to make a complete fool of myself (again) at the first match.
