Aye pretty much all PS2 go through this stage in their lifes, its called dieing. You can probably get another couple months out of it without replacing parts if you clean it real well and properly. Here is a link to gamefaqs.com's PS2 Hardware Guide FAQ's, read the Disc Read Error FAQ's and do what they say.http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/26308.htmlYou may also have a repair store that can fix them but so far my experiences with the only one near me is horrible and way too expensive.Sometimes your just better off buying a new one.Good luck beech.

talk to your local gameshop... they normally have some dude in the back that can fix it or they have a number. though be a smarty and ask how much it would cost to repair first.

The big stores like Software Etc, Gamestop, EB, etc won't repair them for you but sometimes they have some business cards to give out or reccomendations.
