Anyway to make BT faster?
Anyway to make BT faster?
Just finished watching episodes 1-10 of Naruto and I splooged all over my screen cause of its Godliness. Then I realized I would have to download the rest, which is about 90-100 more eps, lol. Downloading the first 10 only took 5 hours but the next 10 seem to be going slower, going to take about 9hrs. Is there anyway I could tweak the settings to achieve a faster download speed?
I work at burger king making flame broiled whoppers I wear paper hats. Would you like an apple pie with that? Would you like an apple pie with that? Ding!! Fries are done. Din
http://www.bitcomet.com - This is the fastest BT Client I have encountered. It even allows you to connect with others that are behind that NAT thingy. Snape had posted about the ports you can open up to increase speed but I think that it was so that you could connect to people with the NAT thingy, which is already done.

What colour are your downloads Enna? If they are green (or have a green icon depending on your BT app) then they're as fast as they can be considering the current seeds. Otherwise chances are you're stuck behind firewalls, routers, closed ports blah blah blah.I haven't tried the app Shad suggested but it sounds like that may be your best bet. What I did was open my ports using the routers NAT settings so that BT users could bypass the whole router and connect directly to my IP. This does leave you prone to an easy hack tho so make sure you have something like peerguardian or some firewall crap running. If you aren't using a router you can open your ports by changing the TCP/IP config in your internet connection settings. The ones to open which are used for BT sharing are 6881 to 6999, but doing 6881 - 6889 should suffice. I've talked a couple of FoUsters through it and they've gained faster speeds out of it, be happy to do the same for you my good man.
