Half life 2 help meh havin problems runnin it

Ok so heres the deal i start it up it goes past the valve thing then there is a street scene and it says loading....after tht nothing happens i havent updated my graphics drivers cud tht be it? or does it just take a year and a half to load up? my computer meets all the minimum requirements i dunno wots up.

Yar, try updating your drivers before trying anything else.

Did you get the game through Steam or buy the retail version?

On the Loading screen it takes about 45 seconds to a min and 30 for me to fully load it. If you've tried waiting like 2+ minutes and it still doesn't work then I suggest updating your drivers first.
