Maybe. If a fair amount of people in the clan get it, I probably will also. The no monthly fee is a great idea for a mmorpg. But I don't mind paying the $9-15 monthly fee in games if I enjoy playing them.

well, the beta is open now on www.guildwars.com , but im pretty sure they announced it has a monthly cost.... i could be mistaken.

dont think ive heard of a monthly fee. but the betas are for people who preorder the game. once a month they have a beta weekend when people who preordered it can play.

ahhhh! and im actually like 99% positive that it is pay to play. a friend saw a review on it, and was reading it to me.

With money. Still though, average monthly game fee (on the conservative side) is $12. Multiply that by six months of subscription fees and you get $72, whereas your average expansion pack is no more than $30. So you still save money.

well, i befriended my friend. that faq was pretty interesting.. i might look into this one if galaxies never gets the combat revamp.

yea I have a couple of pc magazines where they have a full page ad saying that it will NOT have a monthly fee.
