Ok the phrase FUBAR came in a conversation i was having with a friend today. And when he said it i said "It's Fucked up beyond all reason?" and he said it isnt reason. He said it was recegnition. Which is it?

lol i heard this in 3rd grade. i heard fucked up beyond any reconciliation. im not sure if it makes any sense but my friend said that what his grandpa called nazis in the war.
