Anyone recognize this language?

my grandpa has this old mother of a gun from 1884, but he doesnt know the inscription, so i said i'd look into it, since i'm lazy, i thought i'd start here, so anyone know the language, or, if they do, know what it says?

Could be Russian, if not; I'd say a Northern European country's language.

i was gonna say russian but i have no bloody clue, any history buffs know 1884 battles, civil war? i dunno history. it's a long rifle witha bayonet, i took some pics i gotta put together to get the whole thing, i'll post it later

Well I was able to read it but I don't know is it russian or something else. You see there are like 5 countries in Europe with Cirilic letter.
