Fate of the Unwanted

Ok, I've tried to come back to the world of Jedi Outcast, but my computer dosent want me to play it under 1.02.I can run Singleplayer in 1.02, I can run SP in 1.04 and multiplayer in 1.04.But I cant run MP under 1.02. The console comes up, then just closes, no error message, nothing. I even patched JK2 with 1.04, then used the 1.02 MP hack, and it still wont run.I am currently using a P4 3.20GHz1 gig of ramATI All-in-wonder x600 The JK2 diagnostic comes up fine and I can run it beautifully, excpet 1.02 multiplayer. Does anyone have a clue as to whats wrong, or am I just lucky?

FuBAR! The first thing to try is right-click on the jk2mp.exe, then go to properties and compatability and try running it under win95 or 98/ME. Make sure you're using the Start-MP loader to run the multiplayer and not any of the other cracks out there since they don't work well at all. Get the loader from here:http://www.fouclan.com/downloads/Start-MP.exeThrow it in your GameData folder and use that to run multiplayer. If you've already used a crack on your jk2mp.exe you'll need to restore the original copy.If you've applied the 1.04 patch then tried removing it this can sometimes cause problems too. I'll send you a PM with further details, it'll be good to have another old school player back on the JK2 scene!

Kickass! Fresh install, compatibility mode win 95 640x480, runs like a charm.So simple, yet I overlooked it since the game ran fine in SP and even MP if patched.Thanks Snape, and heres seeing you FoU guys around jk2
