Yeah, I just picked up Tekken 5 last night, and lemme say, it is quite awesome. You have all your standard fighting game modes, but there's so much more. You can earn money to buy accessories for your character (like Virtua Fighter 4). There's also the Arcade History mode where you can play the Arcade versions of Tekken, Tekken 2, and Tekken 3.The story finally expands on what happened after Tekken 4. Is starts with Heihachi being killed off (not really, though) and goes from there. It's all quite interesting because I've always had an interest in the story of the Tekken games. As always, the fighting is a blast. They really fixed it up from the mess that was Tekken 4. Also, at the end of Story Mode, there's a CGI movie for EVERY character (just like Tekken 3). Speaking of characters, almost everyone has returned in some form or another. As for the new characters, they are pretty cool. Out of Raven (Blade-look-alike ninja), Feng Wei (chinese martial artist), and Asuka Kazama (karate, Mishima), my favorite would probably be Asuka, a cousin of Jin Kazama because her style is quite cool. Finally, there's this side-story game called Tekken: Devil Within. It's kinda like the Tekken Force Mode from Tekken 3, but in full 3D. So far it's pretty cool for a distraction, but nothing to write home about. The ONE thing that pisses me off about the game, is that the final boss, Jinpachi Mishima (Devil Version of Heihachi), is one of the cheapest bosses. Ever. He has this unblockable fireball move that takes about 50% of your Life Bar away, and he can use it in a matter of seconds. Usually I just set it to Easy because even on Normal, he is hard as Hell.So I would totally reccommend this game to anyone.

i cant see there being a difference between this and tekken 4 same characters, same moves, same story.oh yeah SC owns tekken Tekken 5 expands on the story of the previous games, so yes, it does have the same story, but it's not a retelliing or anything. There's some new characters, as I stated, and a multitude of new moves are given to existing characters along with the new characters.Arch, did you know that Soul Blade, the spiritual ancestor/prequel to Soul Calibur, was built on the same fighitng engine that was already in Tekken 1 & 2? So basically, if it weren't for Tekken, there would be no Soul Blade/Soul Calibur. I like the characters of Tekken a WHOLE lot more than those of Soul Calibur simply because they are just more in depth than the characters of Soul Calibur. But I love 'em both, but probably Tekken a little more since I've been playing it since the original first came out for the PlayStation.
i cant see there being a difference between this and tekken 4 same characters, same moves, same story.oh yeah SC owns tekken Thats true.. .I dont think they change any moves or story or anything, maybe they create more.. but the old tekkenchars, for exemple, yoshimitsu, have the same moves, etc.. they only change graphics and sounds and that...
