That file thta snape sent is the gamedata folder only...What you gotta do is delete ASSETS2.PK3 from the base folder and overwrite all the files in the gamedata folder with the files that are in the .zip that snape linked up.. then voila 1.02.

Hey guys, my friend has a Mac and wants to make 1.04 into 1.02, but I don't believe he can use .exe's. So any ideas or links to helpful information? I am just now digging through this problem and if anyone gets this soon, I'd be very appreciative, thanks.

Yeah, tell him to get a PC! :D http://jk2files.jediknight.net/file.php?id=566This lets you flick between the different versions using bat files, not sure if he's able to use those or not. There is a way to do it by renaming folders but it's been a while since I've done that so can't really remember how.

Haha um, that file download link you sent me, the file is an .exe itself. I'll keep you updated.

Yeah I know, but my knowledge of Macs is very limited.I think the folder renaming is the only way your friend will be able to do this, but it involves installing 1.02, making a copy of the Gamedata folder and renaming to something else and then patching to 1.04. Then to swap versions you would simply rename the Gamedata folder accordingly. I'm sure I posted a guide on this somewhere, I'll have a look for ya.-Edit-No joy finding the guide I'm afraid. It's basically what I've put above. Here's a step-by-step guide:1. Install JK2 1.022. Make a copy of 'Gamedata' folder and rename to 'Gamedata 1.02'3. Patch JK2 to 1.044. To play 1.02 simply rename 'Gamedata' folder to 'Gamedata 1.04' then rename 'Gamedata 1.02' to 'Gamedata'5. To play 1.04 rename 'Gamedata' to 'Gamedata 1.02' and then 'Gamedata 1.04' to 'Gamedata'Hope that makes sense, not sure how it'll work for Macs but there ya go.

Ok well the thing with that folder renaming is, the first step is to install JK2 1.02, but the CD he has installs 1.04. The CD he had that would have installed 1.02 doesn't work on the Mac. So why would we patch to 1.04 if we could just install 1.02 in the first place.
