I can tell you right now it's not a vista problem. How far away are you from the router?Have you restarted your modem? Sounds like your modem.

Might be a compatibility thing between Vista and your router then. Make sure you're using the most up to date firmware for your router - in fact make sure you're using Vista compatible firmware too!Man just stick a wire in there, wireless sucks so much penis.

Windows... Yes I've experienced all of Windows, most of Linux and now Mac OS X, the more problems I hear the less I like Windows. :D I still use it to play a game sometimes, though I never have any problems.. ;)Even wireless on my Windows XP (on a Macbook Pro) works fine, with walls between and all..Try setting up your router on a different channel if possible.

Use the manual of your router or check the router settings, set wireless channel to a different one (if it was 11 for example, set it to 1).

found a solution guys :DBut you know the lag spikes you get in Vista, especially when gaming? If you have a Linksys Wireless Adapter, there is now hope!First off, You must have the disc that came with your hardware.1. Uninstall the driver for the Linksys Adapter in the Device Manager2. Disable Wireless Auto Configa. Hit [Windows Key + R] and type services.msc in the box and hit enter.b. Find WLAN AutoConfig (Should be near bottom)c. Right Click it and go to 'Properties'd. Change start up type to 'Disabled'e. Click the Stop button if the process is started, which should be.3. Enter your Linksys Disc and install your driver normally- After you install the drivers, you may have to go back to Device Manager and Install Driver again manually from the disc.
