Online.....fighting games?

dammit, that would be the coolest thing since canned ham! none of my buds play fighting games, and frankly, survival mode and arcade only have so much replay value. i'm hoping Soul Calibur will be online, then i might actually bother to get a modem for one of my consoles. any one else jonesing for some online fighting?

Xbox has Capcom vs. SNK 2 online. i've tried it and it is sweet! unfortunately, i would not be able to afford Live or any of the other console modems :/i'd love to but i couldn't
