Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
This is out next week, but I don't have a PSP to play it on. After watching some of the videos again I'm really on the edge of buying a PSP. Does anyone have $170 to spare?
A leaked copy of the full US version came out yesterday, played it for a few hours last night and so far it's fecking awesome. The cut scenes are fantastic, unbelievable for a handheld unit. The battle system takes a bit of getting used to, especially the DMW, but once you get used to how it all works you'll learn to love it.Diehard fans of FFVII (like me) are in for a treat.Silent Hill Origins, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Patapon and now this.PSP > DS \:D/

Do you think so, Snape? Also, how's the English voice acting?
I gots me an original PSP with 1.50 firmware, you can then just update this using custom firmware from Dark Alex (http://www.dark-alex.org/). It uses the official Sony updates so you get all the updated apps and features, just means you can play downloaded games from your memory stick. There are ways to downgrade your firmware to 1.50 so you can hack it, but only up to a specific version... you can find out more here:http://www.psp-hacks.com/psp-hacks.phpOnce that's done, you can download games from here:http://www.pspiso.com/Register for free and go to the PSP Games board for, well, PSP Games (incl. Crisis Core) or go to the PSP EBoot Section to download PSX games for your PSP. I've never had a problem running a game using this.Evann - So far it seems to be faithful to the original, although I didn't think Advent Children wasn't! They've done a good job with the voice acting from what I've seen so far, but I'm not that far into it to be honest. I'm away on a family trip this weekend so I imagine I'll get plenty of play-time in there.
