this is a similar question i posted on Spyke's Halo 2 forum. i'm only posting it here b/c i'd like to get as much feedback on this as possible:ok guys, you know all about my lag problems. and i've basically done everything i can think of to get rid of it and i still get lagged. is it possible that my ethernet slot in my Xbox burned out? or is there another possibility? my house is networked right now (desktop comp, laptop, and the Xbox) and the internet works fine on the two computers so the only other thing i can think of is the ethernet connection burned out on my box. any other suggestions is greatly appreciated.....i'm tired of getting frustrated over this crap :/
ask somebody that has the same carrier that you have and see if they are having trouble with lag either. if your ethernet slot was burned out then you wouldnt be able to get on at all
no one's having problems but me. my ethernet slot might not be correctly connected to the cable. something may have been misaligned.either that or my lens is going. i've had Halo freeze randomly in a couple of spots during campaign mode. would my Xbox not reading discs correctly or fast enough result in some lag? i'm just trying to find any reason at all so i can fix this problem and enjoy playing on Live again.
i have to refresh my EB warranty anyway so i'll get another Xbox from work tomorrow or Wednesday and see if it helps :Dand Des, fuck you Hey, Des....I think he's trying to tell you something
sry i haven't been around as much guys. work is killing me right now and it turns out it's my modem that's the problem and since i lag like hell, being on my comp isn't too speedy right now (at a friend's house right now).my modem will probably be getting replaced in the next week or so. but i'll be on before that (just not as often as i usually am )
