Ok so I've played through all the Final Fantasy games (excluding the NES ones) and out of all the characters on offer, here are my personal favourites from each:FF4The main character was alright, but Cecil as a heroic name is just wrong! It's like in Mystic Quest where the main character was Benjamin; it's just not a name that strikes fear into your opponents! Kain was probably my fave dude from the game.FF5Again with the lame name, but Butz was the only character I liked in this one.FF6I'd say Locke and Shadow. Locke was cool, but I didn't think much of his icon - made him look too much like a transsexual gypsy. Shadow was all mysterious and c'mon - ninjas rock!FF7Cloud and Vincent, with Sephiroth being the best villain out of any game. This still remains one of my fave games and no Christian, not because of how hyped it was - it was deservedly so. And yes, I've played all the RPG's on offer SNES wise (thanks to emulation) so I have plenty to compare to.FF8Gotta be Squall, even though he was a miserable bugger. Zell was pretty nifty as well but as much as I liked this game I felt the characters lacked the usual depth that FF games had.FF9Only played this through once so to be honest I barely remember who was in it. Zidane was good, Vivi was funky in his own little way as well. Errr... can't recall anyone else.FF10Auron without question! You were given the impression his arm was out of commision cos he always had it resting in his coat but not the case! To be honest I didn't think Tidus was anything great, and I thought the ending was probably the worst out of any FF game so far. good one Snape.....and FFVII is overhyped but i'll concede Sephiroth to being one of the best villains in gaming history (simply because he is, lol).now:[glow=red:ff289bec58]FFI[/glow:ff289bec58]holy crap, can you say one of the, if not hardest, games ever made?!? i mean, it puts a lot of other games to shame in the difficulty department. not a whole lot of story or character development for that matter. but still a very fun game that will frustrate the hell out of you. [glow=red:ff289bec58]FFII[/glow:ff289bec58]only came out in Japan (until FF Origins is released April 9th) but a fun game if you can understand the language. first FF with actual characters and personalities. friend helped me translate the Japanese so i could play. fun game despite the language barrier and i look forward to understanding thesotry when Origins is released.[glow=red:ff289bec58]FFIII[/glow:ff289bec58]soon to be the only main FF game never released over here, basically i can say the same for this as i did FFII. hopefully, they'll send a version out this way so i can understand the story and such, lol.[glow=red:ff289bec58]FFIV[/glow:ff289bec58]Cecil is the man. i love the whole tortured soul idea. when he transformed later, he was still a badass. sadly though, no one else from that game is really that remembered.....except for Edward cause he sucked so badly, lol.[glow=red:ff289bec58]FFV[/glow:ff289bec58]worst FF game made except for Mystic Quest. story sucked, characters sucked. and the job system was a nice idea but perfected in FF Tactics (one of the best FFs made)[glow=red:ff289bec58]FFVI[/glow:ff289bec58]best FF game made.....period. best story, best villain, and there was no main character which was a real change of pace. best character was Sabin.....he's a badass although the only character i didn't like from VI was Gau. never could like him.[glow=red:ff289bec58]FFVII[/glow:ff289bec58]overhyped to the extreme. don't get me wrong, great game but there are some games that are better (Zelda, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger come to mind quickly but i won't make a big list, lol). story was cool, characters were awesome (except Cait Sith, good god, lol), and Sephiroth was a great villain.[glow=red:ff289bec58]FFVIII[/glow:ff289bec58]Squall and Rinoa are the only two characters i could get into alot in this game (the others a little bit but not much). Story was great though (this game has my favorite ending so i am biased a little 
), Seifer was a good villain although he was just a confused mess. didn't like how Ultimecia just popped up as the final boss though. should've been Edea since they centered most of the game on how evil she was.[glow=red:ff289bec58]FFIX[/glow:ff289bec58]good game, not fantasic but good. liked most of the characters. didn't like Eiko, Quina, or Brahne. story was good but same problem as VIII.....final boss comes out of nowhere. Kuja should've been the final boss (even though he was nothing more than a watered down Kefka clone). liked the return of the 4 member party and how each person had their own special capabilities instead of everyone having everything but this system was pretty much perfected in.....[glow=red:ff289bec58]FFX[/glow:ff289bec58]awesome awesome game. and i agree with Snape, Auron was the best character in this game. i always liked the cool badasses in any game and Auron puts a lot of them to shame. the story was awesome with a lot of twists and turns involved. loved the characters (except for Kihmari, didn't use him a whole lot although he is cool personality wise). ending was great. can't wait for X-2.....about time they made a sequel to a FF game [glow=red:ff289bec58]FF Tactics[/glow:ff289bec58]different but very awesome. difficult as well (still playing it, stuck on one of the battles). if you like strategy and RPG mixed as one concept, get this game. nothing beats it. great story and awesome main characters (and you can recruit basically anyone and hire people to join your party).[glow=red:ff289bec58]FF Mystic Quest[/glow:ff289bec58]don't get me started on this rubbish....this game desicates the FF name....Square didn't make this one, just lent the rights to the name out and it sucked badly. hopefully, there will never be a bad FF game ever again.[glow=red:ff289bec58]In Production[/glow:ff289bec58]FFX-2 (PS2)FF Crystal Chronicles (GC)FFXI (PS2/PC)FFXII(PS2)and all of those should be awesome as well. quite a long post eh? btw, get FF Origins when it comes out. it's remade (not released) versions of FFI and FFII. also, FFI gets an easy mode since the normal setting is nearly impossible.cheers!

[glow=red:17ceea10f1]FFVII[/glow:17ceea10f1]I like this game the most of the FF series, Cloud is a wicked guy and his Sword is kinda painful when it falls on your head... Well i got to hand it to ya snape. You did a pretty good job. Although you said FF-X had a bad ending, i believe they are coming with a part 2. Tell me if I am wrong. 2-FF-X did not have a bad ending...it had an EVIL ENDING! 
oh and you guys left out a great game with some FF characters. [scroll:93fa70b5ba]Kingdom Hearts[/scroll:93fa70b5ba]This one a great game it think. I do not have PS2 so hard to say. I played at mech's house. Had a cool story line plus the Disney characters...lmao hehe....anyways the fighting style in this was different but fun. I really liked it. Also they had a narly thing where you could fight Sephiroth.....mech sat there for like 5 hours trying to kill him....lmao....also they had sweet graphics. uh ya.

Kingdom Hearts wasn't forgotten. it's not a FF game though technically. sure, there are FF characters in it but it's not a FF game. but it is an awesome game that i absolutely love :Pas a side note from the topci, i just got .hack infection today and it absolutely rocks.....now to get the anime series (.hack sign)
